seen on a public sidewalk at a large mall in little rock, arkansas and i thought to myself, “you can still trip over it. what a way to ‘fix’ a pipe protruding out of the sidewalk.”

i have conversations in my mind with myself when i’m out in public. it was during that conversation i realized the parallel of a ‘cover up’ and this cone on the pipe as a solution. seriously?, but i mean really?

why do some people not grasp the idea of learning from the mistakes of others and insist on learning everything from their own mistakes? as a wise person once told me, “you don’t live long enough to learn everything from your own mistakes.”
