and other times, it feels like something is missing

i let go of your hand like a wheel on a track
the sky was unfolding

i’d have fought the world for you

call my name and i’ll be there
i’ll see you through

you’re the color of the sky
you’re the whispering & sighing of my tires in the rain
you’re the hidden cost & the thing that’s lost

i’ll never stop looking for you
in the sunlight and the shadows
and the faces on the avenue

fragments of “Sky Blue & Black”, Jackson Browne, (Singer/Songwriter/Musician)

How well the balloon and windmill complement each other in this composition

I like very much the sweetness of this black and white and the meeting amusing with a balloon lost doubtless by a child

Monochrome is a good choice, reviving old times with this typical American country photo.

Awwww. There’s definitely a story here…that hopefully doesn’t include crying, Sherri?

A truly lovely image – nicely processed, Sherri!
I love that song- you’ve chosen some of the better pieces of the lyrics.

beautiful picture, is that a balloon? it looks like there should be a cartoon character up there, saying something in it 🙂

I love the windmill’s stately presence in this composition! The scream of a child disturbs this tranquil view as her balloon is swept away. 🙁

A balloon floating through the air appears to be a metaphor for separation.

what a great find and perfect to add interest to this lovely rural image. Interesting how the balloon, though wrapped around that power line, appears to be moving in the same direction as the leading line.

I love the view of the farm and the windmill. The balloon totally completes the image.
