after the cutting of rice in Arkansas, the farmers burn the fields. if you look closely, you can see the smoke ascending from the beginning of the burn. just above the trees on the right, you can see a darkening where the smoke from an adjacent field was already burning.

i love love this picture!! loads of negative space!! but JFK’s comment on farmers kind of made me sad 🙁

Looks like East Germany. There are also so big fields.

That field will produce a lot of smoke once it gets going or so it seems. Pretty shot.
