30 days hath September, April, June and November
all the rest have 31, except the second month alone
28, to which we assign
’till leap year gives it 29

Wunderful picture this is again, so beautiful soft
And nice the story about the number of days in the different months.
Beautiful focusing and bokeh effect, a fantastic photo result.
what a lovely photo with the selective focus but the all-green really makes it calm and lovely.
A beautiful composition to bring in the month of February! The selective focus and DoF work well here, creating a splendid bokeh.
A fine image. Your version of the calendar is different. The one I know is
30days have September, April June and November
All the rest have 31 excepting February alone
Which has but 28 days clear
and 29 in each leap year.
and there is also the counting on top of the knuckles and between the knuckles version and just having to remember that February is left out of the equation
i prefer poetry : – )
Oh, I love the focus and the bokeh, of course. The green on green color palette is quite lovely, too.
That is such a lovely shot. Especially with that drop of water.
Wonderful composition – with perfect depth of field! And a creative presentation!
Fabulous image for this ditty, Sherri…though mine is not as complete as yours: “30 days hath September, April June and November. All the rest have 31 except for February.” Or maybe I wasn’t paying attention while growing up (though I doubt it)?
Jolie photo qui laisse présager du printemps.
It’s a cold and often dull month so good it’s also short. Nice capture of the berries
i love the clumps of berries on the tree Sherri… the poem was kind of cute… i read it on your photo… with a bit of difficulty only to find it printed out underneath… i love this picture….peter:)
That is a different version of the month rhyme than I learned. And since it was unfamiliar, I could barely read the last two lines based on the font, the thin stroke and the relatively low contrast between the white font and the light green background. I admit that my first inclination was to try to count the green berries to see whether you had included the correct number, but quickly realized you had not!
All that being said, I like the green-on-green of this and that one delicate drop about to fall.
I have a question into my site management to see what “moderation” might mean. I’ve never seen that before, and will let you know.
The shortest month does seem to fly by. A beautiful image.
Hi Sherri,
It’s good to see your photoblog is still running and I’m happy the community is still chugging along 🙂 I also like seeing some familiar names in the comments.
I absolutely love this photo, it is beautiful.
That single drop of water is just the icing on this delicious green cake.
when i wrote the computer program to solve the Y2K problem for my company, back in the day, that leap year was a bummer lol
love picture! xoxoxoxoxox
Wonderful image and I like your counting of the year .
A beautiful intrusion of this small shrub on the softness of the bokeh !
What a beautiful shot on this — what type of lens did you use? a 1.2? Look fantastic — i love the drop of water you can see about to fall off 🙂
Merveilleuse prise avec sa gouttelette.
This image is wunderful
