The rich, sweet smell of the hayricks rose to his chamber window; the hundred perfumes of the little flower-garden beneath scented the air around; the deep-green meadows shone in the morning dew that glistened on every leaf as it trembled in the gentle air: and the birds sang as if every sparkling drop were a fountain of inspiration to them.

Le début des foins quelle bottes de paille en fond et la route cette courbe ce virage superbe
Belle soirée
A beautiful image with the road and trees framing the field. Superb
A fine chosen composition, beautiful light as well.
this one was from last fall Sherri… i love the smell of fresh cut hay….peter:)
A very English landscape!
nicely composed with the bend in the road, Sherri
I always love seeing these open fields of hay laying in the pasture!! Great find and capture with the winding road in the foreground!
I enjoy those dollops on the mowed grass – especially when the work is done, the dust and diesel smoke has evaporated and the voices of the grasshoppers and the birds rise again.
That is a wonderful image with the soft curve of the road and the wonderful goden hay.
A beautiful composition! It is so peaceful.
Nice rural scene. When I helped my grandfather bale (decades ago) the baler spit the rectangular wired bales onto a trailing wagon and human muscle (mine, my cousins and neighbors) piled it neatly, then restacked it in the feed barns. It was sweaty work, but the smell was delicious.
Joli paysage avec ces bottes de foins.
The perfect quote to put to this beautiful photo!
La saison des foins avec ces bonnes odeurs.
This is a very English looking scene Sherri
This is such a beautiful neat composition – everything about it is pleasing
A beautiful, even Old English landscape.
An image that brings me back to childhood, even if at that time the hay was not packed, but left a heap in the fields, and of course we enjoyed jumping in it 🙂
What a wonderful framed and so peaceful landscape
Quelle belle photo Sherri, j’adore l’odeur du foin frais coupé! Bise, bonne journée dans la joie!
Lovely composition – the curve of the road and the bales.
Like Bill says, this could be in England.
Very beautiful composition and reading the text I can smell the perfumes …!
Magnifique ta photo 5*
I like this summer landscape Sherry. Nice framing
I would like follow your photos but I don’t find???
wow, so much beauty! in the picture AND the quote…. when i was a little girl, and i saw hay like that, i always pointed out of the car window and squeeled ‘look daddy! TOOTSIE ROLLS!’
I like how the curvng road draws my eye.
A beautiful image and I do love the smell.
I really like that hairpin road in this image. I have always loved that sweet fragrance of fresh mown and baled hay.
