when 100 degrees fahrenheit is “a little warm”
We have four seasons in Arkansas:
- Almost Summer
- Summer
- Still Summer
- Christmas
This fountain is near the front door of the President Clinton museum in Little Rock, Arkansas
Photography is, for me, a spontaneous impulse coming from an ever attentive eye which captures the moment.
— Henri Cartier-Bresson said that
I passed through Arkansas during the Christmas period, 1970 – there was snow!
kids and fountains go well together Sherri… i love your shot of the girl running with her hand in the water….peter:)
A fountain seems to always be a natural magnet for the child at heart!! Great capture! I had to laugh at your sentiments toward the four seasons. 🙂
That is a wonderful shot of those kids at play.
I like the four seasons you have. Sounds a lot like Texas too.
There is just something about kids and water. A great image!
and with your processing, the heat is visible in a sense of being almost oppressively hot. Perfect quote for this moment you’ve captured. It tells its own story, likely very different in the imaginations of each of us.
that is very close to the same weather we had in Dallas, though we used to refer to season 4 as “a few weeks of nice weather with an occasional ice storm.”
Sorry I slammed your quote yesterday, but people who talk in highfalutin generalities rub me the wrong way. Your quote today makes a simple and eloquent point.
Jolie scène avec ce plan d’eau et ces enfants.
I’m so sorry to say that I do NOT do well in that kind of heat, Sherri, but I love what you’ve made of it!
An enjoyable shot of kids at play. I like the reflections on the water.
A great picture Sherri. I don’t think I could survive in Arkansas!
I always wondered how those ‘infinity poos’ work, now i see it, thank you 🙂 one less thing, right?
lovely picture of those kids playing toooo
A funny moment for these children!
The Gables
Lower galdeford
I don’t have any idea what happened there. I actually typed . Nice composition. Don’t you have a wet season then? 🙂
no, but we do typically have a drought which if it’s normal, takes in the entire month of August
a few years ago, we didn’t have a drought and some little amoeba of sorts that is present in our waters all the time, but thrives in the August heat if it rains, thrived, got into the brain of a young girl and she passed away. now, i don’t pray for rain in August, but i’m thankful for the drought, knowing God is protecting us from our climate.
Wonderful, you can feel the joy!
Beautiful composition !
Children and water always a nice combination with lots of fun.
Bonjour Sherri! Une belle photo rafraichissante! Bise, bon mercredi tout en douceur!
There is something whimsical about this which I love.
Jeu d’eau et de fontaine jeu d’enfants quel effet et vue.
Belle soirée
Superbe ta photo 5*
I like it and I do not know what I would give to be one of the guys who is playing with water
A lovely shot of the kids having fun if not staying cool. The Midwest in August sounds like what Arkansas is all the time. 😉 The summers in Japan are hot and humid, too.
Great with the spurts of water!
