this camellia is blooming our yard right now
Love is no hot-house flower, but a wild plant, born of a wet night, born of an hour of sunshine; sprung from wild seed, blown along the road by a wild wind. A wild plant that when it blooms by chance within the hedge of our gardens, we call a flower; and when it blooms outside we call a weed; but, flower or weed, whose scent and colour are always, wild!
— John Galsworthy said that
A beautiful image and I just LOVE that quote!
Magnifiques couleurs !
my wife’s camellias are blooming as well. They were also blooming in early December when we had several inches of snow. I went out to shake the branches so the weight of the snow did no damage, and gazed at the bright pink blooms peeking through the snow. I wished I had brought my camera. I was sick, and did not have the energy to go back in and get it, along with my continuing efforts to save branches. Oh well.
Quelle fleur et image quelle finesse et en roulade des pétales merveilleuse vue
Belle journée

This looks even more beautiful to me as we are drowning in snow here in Bavaria at the moment. It hits my soft spot…
Here it is cold, cloudy and windy with snow predicted for the weekend, so seeing a flower in bloom is delightful.
Beautiful composition ! Love makes us make turns and take unforeseen roads in life…
A gorgeous flower full of beautiful color! Its clarity reveals nice texture in the petals!
A wonderful way to brighten January. We have hellebores out and snowdrops are appearing
A beautiful wildling you have in your garden.
Mother Nature does that on purpose, Sherri, because she loves to surprise us. It IS like love, isn’t it!
that is an apt image to go with that quote, Sherri
There is an air of “wild” about your cultivated camellia, sherri
Flowers… definitely wild at heart <3
camellias are the Audrey Hepburn of flowers
Interesting point of view
Beautiful flower and quote !
It is beautiful as I sit here with snow everywhere! Gorgeous color. It gives hope that spring will eventually arrive.
