Henri Cartier-Bresson said, “One has to tiptoe lightly and steal up to one’s quarry; you don’t swish the water when you are fishing.”
When I captured this woman standing in the doorway, for a brief moment I thought I’d accomplished that.
While focusing in on something entirely different I saw her step outside from the corner of my eye, turned, and captured this shot.
She immediately looked my way and as we walked by she said, “Nice camera”.
I had the distinct feeling her peripheral vision is as good as mine.
This is a wonderful image and a great story.
J’ai cru que la dame était un mannequin.
I like your story. Candid pictures are not easy but can be very rewarding
…She has The Eye …! Superb composition .
Oh, wow, Sherri. Great story to accompany this great image and quote!
Before readying your explanation, I thought she was a mannequin from her pose. What a lovely moment captured here.
nice back story 🙂
i love your photo b&w photo of this lovely lady with great peripheral vision…

I like this well timed streetphoto, fine street photography, nice framing and processing as well.
Beautifully done! A neat story, too.
Trois personnage dans cette image quelle perspective superbe
Belle soirée
A great storyline that goes with this capture! I love the depth your PoV creates. At least she didn’t say, “I hope you’re deleting that photo you took.”
Nice image. The woman’s profile is striking.
an intriguing street shot, but I am equally impressed with your text and framing work
