We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land, but it is fed and watered by God’s almighty hand. He sends the snow in winter, the warmth to swell the grain, the breezes and the sunshine and soft refreshing rain.
Matthias Claudius said that
Probably not what you expect to see in your neck of the woods, but beautiful nonetheless! Those icicle formations are huge.
What a beautiful presentation.
When I read the accompanying quote it sounds quite poetic so I read it again out loud — soothingly poetic.
This would make a beautiful card
What we send though are tonnes of CO2 to disturb this delicate balance. the weather extremes do create photo ops like the nice pair here but are they worth the cost?
That looks like a lovely deep fluffy snow. We got some snow but also bitter cold days with no electricity. The temps were in single digits and it was rough. I don’t know if you got that as well but I hope not. Beautiful shots and quote.
sorry to hear you were in the power outage. we kept power, but lost water for about 18 hours. it’s still not fit to drink, so we’re buying water.
I’m very happy with snow in the mountains and rain in the lowlands. However, we had 15 inches of snow on the ground before the storm moved on into the Midwest and Texas. It only lasted a few days though.
now those are some impressive icicles!
This is exactly what my views are like. The weather has been so cold and snowy. Icicles everywhere. Beautiful captures.
A beautiful black and white photo and a nice icy detail photo and a great quote.
Excellent presentation, Sherri!
beautiful diptych, artistically rendered, well done you! xoxoxoxoxox
Scary ice and lots of snow. I like the light coming through the icicles.
You clearly had more of it than we did here in the Netherlands, Sherri, but at least I can identify. THIS is winter to me.
