my dad always taught me to never be afraid of turning down a road. he’d say, “it may lead to someplace interesting, but if it doesn’t, you can always turn around.”
i found this old bridge support along a dirt road in rural arkansas
Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.
— Winnie the Pooh said that
Winnie the Pooh is as right as a person (or a bear) can be.
You can’t go wrong with Winnie the Pooh!
A beautiful image. I love the reflections. Wonderful detail and textures. Winnie the Pooh was right!
I like the strict no frills lines of the bridge support, but I think you missed a contrast with that tree at the right edge. In my opinion, both would be stronger if they shared the frame more equally.
De l’eau, des végétaux et du béton, le tout forme une image bien ficelée avec ce reflet opportun.
Your dad sounds as if he was every bit as smart and wise as Winnie the Pooh. How wonderful.
Votre père etait un sage ….
Très belle prise de vue
Magnifique point de vue.
De belles textures.
How I agree with your Dad – I want to explore them all
Winnie the Pooh is still one of my favourite books
Une superbe lumière sur ta photo j’adore
Not much good for Pooh sticks though 🙂
Yes, and you can also play pooh sticks! I like the timeless feel of this image.
With nothing to support any longer 🙂
A very wise dad!
You have a wise father. Follow his advice.
Nice image , I can imagine the bridge here,
A beautiful view of this apparently very flood prone area. Nice reflections.
Quel reflet et pieux de pont fantastique vue et rendu
amitié
Few would have paid attention to these details, very beautiful ton sur ton reflexes
Un beau et solide clocher comme il en existe dans tous les pays de culture chrétienne.
wise words — from your dad and from Winnie
