wish i were down
on some blue bayou
with a bamboo cane
stuck in the sand
but the road i’m on
don’t seem to go there
so i just dream
and keep on being
the way i am

being a fisherman you must realize just how much i love this posting Sherri….peter:)
A nice matching photo together with the lyrics of singer Alan jackson
The perfect lyrics to go with this great photo! I love the little bell attached to the rod to alert the fisherman of a potential catch!
I hope that the bell does not ring too often not to wake the fisherman and let live fish! Great catch… photographic! 🙂
Wish I was doing that just about now! A fabulous image!
If that pole is bamboo, it’s worth a fortune I imagine. A gorgeous image.
Jolie photo minimaliste.
I love that photo.
Quelle canne plantée quei atten le poisson peut être volant génial.
Belle journée
I like the way you have shown part of the rod above the bank, and left the rest for us to imagine
Excellent. Bonne journée.
I’m going back some day come what may to Blue Bayou
Where you sleep all day and the catfish play on Blue Bayou
All those fishing boats with their sails afloat
If I could only see that familiar sunrise through sleepy eyes
How happy I’d be
Roy Orbison
waiting for the bell to ring 🙂 Nice still life
SUch a relaxing point of view!
You could call this one “Optimism” 🙂
A fisherman’s dream image, Sherri. So serene.
i once took a picture of a fishing rod stuck in the ground by the water like that, but there was reeds and such, you couldn’t really see it… yours is much more beautiful 🙂
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office. My husband says that. Nice image.
A calm and peaceful beach, especially considering the storm lashing the coast right now. But this fisherman seems to be avoiding even the proscpect of actually catching a fish. But sometimes the catch is less important than the wait for a bite.
did you ever find a super set of lyrics for this beautiful image. I could look at this all day long.
What a beautiful, peaceful image, Sherri. And I’m pleased you included these lyrics – they’re perfect!
Beautiful composition and colors. A swet photo
