first there was Evie, a 1974, yellow Volkswagen Beetle (pictured under the tree in a previous image)
then, there was Liesl, a 1960, beryl green Volkswagen Beetle
now, i’ve sold them both
always name your cars a beautifully appropriate name
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I’m gone.

I like this shot, the right car at the fork, and the two side trees that are against the background. Then the Beetle, takes me back to my youth, I’ve had one too, cabriolet.
Avec ce puits quel capage de cette cox et compo quel arbre fantasitque
belle soirée
Oh wow!!! I love your picture, elle est magnifique! Big hug, Maria-Lina
I like the muted colors in this timeless image.
That is a wonderful composition and I love the desaturation. An all around excellent shot.
my family never named our vehicles, but my wife introduced me to the practice, I now regard it as essential. A cute classic beetle,
I agree and they will be kind to you. A beautiful image!
Very classic … vintage… Love it.
Une magnifique photo. J’adore
Somptuous tones in this beautiful composition !
with a name like Liesl it should be a diesel 🙂
Gorgeous colours, names, too bad they’re not yours anymore
I like the timeless feel of this photo. We had a more recent VW Beetle. It was red and had a mind of its own, so we called it Herbie.
I like the beautiful vintage look and the well chosen composition.
A beautiful locale for the shot of this old classic. Lovely.
A wonderful photo! Love the “aged” look to it! We’ve always named our cars. Our current little SUV is called Roxie Rogue…. A Nissan Rogue – we named her on her virgin road trip over rough, unmaintained dirt roads and through deep sandy desert washes. After a near vertical assent, I said “This car’s got moxie! OH! We’ll call her Roxie!” 🙂
You have been fortunate to have these two cars. Beautiful and good machines.
A lovely image, I really like your treatment which gives it a timeless feeling.
I remember your Evie, Sherri. Did you like one more than the other, I wonder? I can imagine all the good times you remember with them both.
Nice tones and good composition , your cars have lovely name ! Phil
Bravo pour l’excellence du traitement qui restitue harmonieusement le coté ancien, vintage de l’époque coccinelle.
i like the framing and the treatment very much, Sherri
we used to have beetles, one from the 70’s and one from the 60’s… i’m sorry we sold them, coz i just don’t see them for sale anymore 🙁
steven wright is hilarious.. ‘it’s a small world, but i wouldn’t want to paint it’ 🙂
great shot Sherri… i like Leisl… a fine vintage….peter:)
Oh, I should have remembered!! And upon revisiting this lovely space, I knew the bug was yours but, honestly, had forgotten she was named Evie. And there is also a Liesl. I hope they are with others who will give them the respect they deserve. What a heartwarming thought.
I like very much the tones of this photo and its a little bit retro side
Un traitement à l’ancienne … parfait ****
