i’ve always been inquisitive, and i’ve always voiced my questions. so, when i found tiny art online, i was intrigued and just had to try it myself.
why would you make tiny art? because it has an elegance.
why would you add the “h” for Thursday? because it’s more interesting.
Dick Wolf said “Advertising is the art of the tiny. You have to tell a complete a story and deliver a complete message in a very encapsulated form. It disciplines you to cut away extraneous information.”
Dick Wolf is quite the man when it comes to television production. I see his quote in much of his work.
Wise words from Dick Wolf and a nice appropriate photo and title.
In my experience advertising is generally the art of making sh*t look like sugar, which lead me to drop out of a career in photography which I otherwise found challenging and enjoyable.
Someone once said that only 50% of advertising works. The trouble is nobody knows which 50% it is
Si on tfait du minuscule il faut aller à l’essentiel plus c’est petit mieux c’est excellent

when less is more you pay attention to it Sherri… love the pomegranate….peter:)
awwww, i love your tiny art!!
I have always admired the artists/craftsmen who build elaborated ships and other vignettes inside of bottles. If your digital art is created at the same scale as it is displayed, then it too is impressive. But art at the pixel level is less impressive if the pixels are magnified in the workspace.
very nice post, Sherri. “It disciplines you to cut away extraneous information” – my contention is that not only advertising, we all could use it in our activities.
Yes – very elegant and very interesting!
A superbly creative photo.
Beautiful art!
