    the pieces of this post fit together in a neat rectangle, but the tones and the subjects do not (to me) comprise a coherent whole

    I just love your new website header and background. I know I’ve mentioned it before but it really makes me feel good when your page loads.
    The Japanese have a term for things that are made more beautiful in the mending or that are in need of being mended — Wabi Sabi. I’ve always loved that idea.
