it was really hot and the little girl wanted the parade to get started, so she waved them on and yelled, “c’mon !”

A great moment in time captured in this ancy girl! I love her animated expression. We had a parade cancelled due to extreme heat today.
I love watching kids at parades! Such joy! Wonderful shot, Sherri!
Une bien jolie scène. Belle journée.
Une belle image saisie sur le vif.
Quelle scène et vue cette main de la jeune qui attend le passage cette ombrelle superbe.

Quel beau moment Sherri, superbe! Bise, bon mardi tout doux!
Every July 4th our little village has a parade so this really tugs at my heart!
I’m with her. Let’s get this show on the road!
A lovely moment is captured here.
A lovely, little moment. I can really feel the heat. The subdue colour palette underlines the feeling. Great quote by Dorothea Lange, by the way.
Who could resist that command? Beautifully done.
The impatience of youth
We have some big parades here and they marshal in along our street and the next few streets so we get a sneak preview. The best time to have grandkids visiting.
a fine slice of old-time nostalgic life.
how perfect. I love this photograph. And am so pleased you filled in the story — that’s far better than I would have imagined.
Such a great photo.
You can feel the excitement from the little girl’s viewpoint
Delightful
Un super moment capté !
awwww, i understand her feelings, my home city is super hot in the summer and super cold in the winter… cute pic!!
Very beautiful capture of the scene !
i like the way the girls are dressed in their Sunday best… i can see the parade just down from the little girls saying C’mon Sherri….peter:)
A fabulous image. I love the point of view! It is wonderful!
They are nearly there, fantastic street shot!
Reminds me of parades we viewed when our son was young. I like the little girl hurrying the parade on, and the father’s protective hand on the other child.
