Not a consumer but I sure like seeing those old painted ads on brick. They have a certain charm.

True story. Years ago Coke had a slogan “Coke adds life.” I went on a trip to China and there was a billboard with a Coke bottle picture, and the slogan had been translated to “Coke brings back the dead.” It was soon taken down.

It is certainly iconic and the logo is excellent as a decoration however most people agree it is very unhealthy.

I fear that qote may be true. Not sure what that says about life. I like the faded lettering captured here.

a sad comment on how multi nationals crush diversity. If you go anywhere and always find the same things then travel, instead of broadening the mind, becomes pointless

I have always liked the old painted advertising on brick buildings. It is sad when these buildings are taken down or the ads are covered over. A picture of times gone by.

This is a fine old bottling plant. A minor passion for me is finding old Coke logos on unrelated businesses like auto parts stores or laundromats (for example).

It’s a great photo. I have always had a ‘thing’ for ghost signs. Where I now live, there are none. But when I lived in the city, they were everywhere. Unfortunately many are disappearing because of high-rises and towering offices replacing those lovely old characters.
