This is America. We don’t share land here.
Kevin Costner as John Dutton on Yellowstone said that
I haven’t decided if I like the character he plays or not.

A nicely-layered composition captured here!
I love your soft colour palette here Sherri
eautiful landscape
There is something about fences that I really like visually. I don’t know why. Not crazy about them when I am walking, though.
A very nice shot.
Jolies couleurs pour ce paysage brumeux.
Time looks to be moving slowly there…
I adore this image. Everything about it. The mood it evokes right off the bat, the separate natural layers, the juxtaposition of the barbed wire fence with the other soft elements, and the predominance of sky. Really lovely.
Beautiful rendering of a misty landscape!
A lovely photo, Sherri. I’ve not seen that show…
A nice landscape … I don’t think I’ve seen that Costner movie. Water World STILL leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I love your pictures like this, a minimalist sky and earth… love the mist afar off tooooo xoxoxoxoxox
The great landscape photo, everything is there, the misty atmosphere, the different layers and the barbed wire fencing and a mysterious sky above.
morne plaine…………comme j’aime
Lately, half the population doesn’t share much of anything with the other half. A beautiful misty image of the field and fence.
Beautiful atmosphere and great foreground with the fence.
I don’t know anything about that character, Sherri, but I, too, have a problem with that statement. What would the Native Americans say! (sigh) Your image only makes the point stronger, I must say….
indeed.
in fact, the Native Americans are featured in the series. the land John Dutton (Keven Costner) owns belonged to them first
You might find a book called ‘Trespass’ interesting. It features personal stories of trespass by the author together with historical accounts of how the land was stolen from the people by a series of enclosures acts in the UK
thank you for pointing me to the book. i haven’t read it, but i have studied the history of how land was acquired in Great Britain because some of my G Grandparents immigrated to America from there and i know what they accumulated here and wondered at their wisdom of leaving their native land. now, i know that having very little is better than having nothing.
America now takes land in a similar fashion and they call it Eminent Domain
Another evocative winter scape. I am saddened when I think of how European immigrants took the land from Native Americans.
