All rivers, even the most dazzling, those that catch the sun in their course, all rivers go down to the ocean and drown. And life awaits man as the sea awaits the river.

An eye-catching log formation captured in the river as life grows up around it! I love the ripple patterns and reflections as well.

Oh I really love this image. It’s calming but it has action; my kind of action. I can imagine all manner of things.
The quote is equally as appealing to me. Lovely.

Your “logjam” is probably working all kinds of magic underneath the surface, Sherri, as this river runs to the sea. What a wonderful quote to ponder….

Allow me an old verses translation :

I was surprised there weren’t any turtles hanging out on the log. I guess I always thought of rivers as going down to the sea and being set free.

it’s a wonderful shot of the spring runoff Sherri… the tree stump looks like there had been a large nest on top of it….peter:)

btw our rivers run to the Arctic Ocean from here… we are 150 miles north of the watershed…
