It’s so curious: one can resist tears and behave very well in the hardest hours of grief, but then someone makes you a friendly sign behind a window, or one notices that a flower that was in bud only yesterday has suddenly blossomed, or a letter slips from a drawer and everything collapses.
Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette said that
Beautiful blossoms captured from a unique PoV with an interesting DoF! Well composed shot!
Nice with the pale colors. I don’t know the name of the white flower.
lovely delicate shot of these opening blooms; very well captioned
That quote is right on. I really like it. Excellent shot with the soft color and focus.
A gorgeous composition. These flowers are beautiful. A perfect title. They also almost remind me of winter and snow. That is a beautiful quote and so very true.
Oh a really lovely image, Sherri! The quote is so true…. Once, when Frank had to return to England, and we didn’t know when we’d see each other again… I kept a “stiff upper lip”, as they say. That is, until someone asked how I was doing…. And I collapsed in her arms, dissolving into tears.
Jolies fleurs avec des tons très doux.
I love the colour palette here Sherri. The quote is very true
nice flower spikes with good focus control and a good quote to go with them
Wise words ,
A lovely flower photo, fine soft colors and focus.
it’s a lovely image of what i think are lupines Sherri….
i like the way that Elizabeth commented on the poem….peter:)
De très beaux lupins, magnifiquement accompagnés de mots réels.
Il y a des jours ainsi où tout s’effondre,, ça ira mieux demain !… :))
This muted image is perfect for the quote, Sherri, reminding me of the many funerals of late where you see the relatives holding it together for the visitors, knowing that soon they will be losing their grip. Yes, we’ve all experienced this and know exactly what Colette means.
oh hon, xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
This is so beautiful. A Veronica of some type perhaps?
Gosh I sure can relate to this quote. I do hope you’ve not lost someone recently.
Lovely, lovely image.
