    someone said “a color photo is about color, a black and white photo is about everything else,” or something similar, but I can’t find the source. With the subject matter and the title “gREy” a quote about smog and soot would also be appropriate.

    You’ve just reminded me of something my nephew told me years ago, Sherri. He said the best B&W images start with color because there’s more information to manipulate when you do the conversion. Fascinating…and yes, perfect for your image here.

    well bill burt was likely correct.
    The steam coming out of the stack gives some movement to this but it’s the birds that I especially like adding both movement but almost as though asking a larger question.
