a fish in a jar is an interesting metaphor for the limitations our environment places on each of us

Je ne sais pas, c’est un petit mystère, car je ne distingue pas très bien le contenu de ce bocal.

it’s my red fish; a Siamese fighting fish or sometimes called a betta fish

they have to be alone because they kill other fish and they don’t like large spaces so the jar is quite a nice size for him

there are rocks on the bottom and he is facing the camera between the rocks and the label on the jar

This is a delightful image, sherri. I was interested to read why your little red fish had to be alone

It is a beautiful jar as a home and I like that it is a recycled pickle jar.

A cozy little home for such an aggressive fish. I love the label that is still on it. 🙂

I have a strange mind, when I saw the label and the fish I thought of pickled herring LOL! I like the simple nature of this image and of Dr Seuss.

I have always thought the betta fish were very pretty, but it does seem a sad life to live alone because one can’t get along with others. I know some people like that.

they prefer being alone and actually are very curious when people come near their bowl (or in this case, their jar: – )

he likes to watch me prepare dinner in the kitchen where he lives

he doesn’t like to be in a room where humans don’t often pass by him

My mother had goldfish and I remember how much work they were for her though she really loved them. I did too. So calming. I hope this guy isn’t a lot of work
