out of place
out of place

yes, it is a crude pipe in a soft, grassy field

out of place for certain. sometimes people are totally out of place.

“I have the consolation of having added nothing to my private fortune during my public service, and of retiring with hands clean as they are empty.”
— Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States, (1743 – 1826) said that in a letter to Count Diodati

That crude out of place pipe looks a bit orange to me although I can’t imagine why. I think the Thomas Jefferson quote above must have done it. He didn’t try to enrich himself in public service. How times have changed.

Michael took the words right out of my mouth! If every politician had the same logic as Jefferson!

Perhaps the periscope of a subterranean submarine. Though sub-marine means under water, so I don’t know what to call an underground one.

Excellent. Perhaps if you tugged on it, it would come out easily.

It is maybe thanks to this pipe that the grass is so beautiful. Appearances are sometimes misleading. Jefferson has understand what is public service . You made a superb image of grass .

Are you certain it’s not a periscope? 🙂

Scrolling up I find I am a mere echo of Harry so how about the snorkel of a bog swimmer?

That is a great analogy. It brings to mind a lot of out of place people.

I actually have a similar photo I took when we lived in Alberta! I love your take on it — being out of place.

I absolutely LOVE that Jefferson quote — if only all politicians could say the same (and that what they say is true)
