The taint of age can be very beautiful. The wreckage of man-made objects is something more beautiful than the new. Rust and weathering add a patina of elegant gorp.

    Hey Sherri,
You wrote this on my photo today: sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United States Edit Report Comment
awh, it almost looks like it’s wearing a garland on its head
a person could Photoshop the fence out and totally fool viewers : – )

Funny but I also thought it looked like he was wearing a garland on his head. Just for fun I accepted your challenge and Photoshopped the fence out of my longhorn photo. I cannot seem to send it to you through Aminus3 in the normal route by clicking on the “contact” button at the bottom since you do not use the regular format, so I do not know how to send it to you. I cannot find your email address, just my own. If you want, email me and I’ll send it to you.

I’ve always felt that way. I agree with him. And what a phrase, “elegant gorp”!!
Perhaps it’s why I embrace the Japanese wabi sabi. As he says, “the taint of age can be very beautiful.”
